North Platte Student Council did an incredible job hosting the state convention for 2024! North Platte is a powerhouse of a student council and jumped straight into their annual canned food drive immediately after the convention. NPHS is killing the stuco game!

VISION 2024: New Mexico

The National VISION Conference 2024 held in New Mexico was absolutely incredible! Students from across Nebraska came together to form a unified Nebraska delegation, kicking off the week by exploring the vibrant city of Santa Fe. From immersing ourselves in the artistic wonder of Meow Wolf to enjoying the lively pre-conference Rodeo mixer, every moment was unforgettable.

The conference officially began with a dynamic Keynote Speech by A’ric Jackson, who kept us laughing and reflecting with his powerful stories of leadership and resilience throughout the weekend. He inspired us to embrace our potential as leaders and encouraged us to step confidently into our unique abilities.

Our Nebraska Executive Officer Team participated in the exclusive State Officers Workshop, where they gained valuable insights on how to effectively lead Nebraska and truly embody the role of state officers. Meanwhile, other delegates attended a wide range of workshops featuring remarkable speakers like Dr. Jim Cain, Juan Bendaña, Lilyan Prado-Carrillo, Dr. Farah, Lucca Petrucci, and many more. Each presenter brought their unique energy, delivering lessons on topics such as conquering fears, embracing authenticity, empowering others, and building meaningful connections.

In addition to the inspiring sessions, delegates had the opportunity to network with peers from across the nation, exchanging ideas and stories that left everyone feeling more connected and motivated to make a difference.

One of the most memorable aspects of VISION was the sense of unity and passion shared among student leaders. Whether it was dancing together at social events, cheering for speakers, or collaborating in workshops, the atmosphere was electric.

Nothing quite compares to the National VISION Conference. If you’re a student leader—or someone who dreams of making an impact—this is the event for you!
